A development plan is not a release schedule. Valve's September 29 post discusses progression, customization, objectives and experimental ideas with different levels of certainty. The October 6 post names November 5 for the season transition; it does not announce the next major gameplay patch.
A dated announcement is narrower than a roadmap
The October 6 Baba post moves the first Ranked season's end to November 5, 2026 and says the next season starts immediately afterward. That is a dated season announcement. It is not a promise of a new hero, balance patch or public release on that date.
Check the original wording and any later correction before planning around an hour or timezone. We do not silently convert an ambiguous date into a live countdown. This guide is dated November 3; an announcement recorded here must be rechecked when its scheduled date passes.
What Valve discussed developing
In its September 29 development discussion, Valve describes work on progression and hero or hideout customization, with room to change those features through feedback. It also identifies objective presentation and layout work as future priorities. These statements explain development direction; they do not supply final functionality or delivery dates.
Hero remodels are discussed in relation to later polish and other core work. Do not turn that into an ordered release list or assume a particular hero's remodel is next. For a returning player, the useful question is which announced change has actually shipped and which parts remain intentions.
Keep explicitly speculative experiments in that category
The same post describes item redesigns or additions and alternate game modes as more speculative work whose release depends on playtesting. A mention in this discussion is not confirmation that a feature will ship, survive unchanged or arrive in the next update.
Avoid rebuilding a saved inventory around an unreleased item idea. Wait for an actual definition and source notes before calculating a recipe, price or ability interaction. A useful preview can explain the open question while leaving unknown details unknown.
What to check when a new update actually arrives
Start with the official dated notes, identify affected heroes and items, and compare later fixes. A client build number, a feature announcement and a balance change are different signals. New content on the site must preserve the source date and distinguish newly shipped mechanics from a preview.
Our existing six-hour maintenance checks can propose source-backed patch and topical guide updates. Publication still depends on accessible sources and successful review and tests. This page is not a live news feed, and no guessed patch date or automated rumor article is presented as an official announcement.
