What we publish
Public hero and item references, tactical guides and a working matchup planner. Hero paths, threat tags and counter choices are tactical interpretations. They are not official Valve roles, coaching credentials or measured player rankings.
Who is responsible for the content
The DeadlockStrat project maintains these pages under its own name. We do not attach invented expert biographies or professional-player endorsements. Each guide identifies its reference date, links to relevant definitions and explains the limits of the recommendation.
How review works
The bundled reference was reviewed on 1 November 2026 against Build 6839. The live planner checks the game version and a gameplay fingerprint before recommending purchases. If a patch changes relevant definitions, automatic generation pauses for review. Public reference pages retain their date instead of silently claiming to be current.
Item examples use the same purchase-accounting and inventory-validation engine as the planner, without calling an AI service. The optional AI tactical focus in the interactive planner cannot invent items, change payments or supply statistical evidence.
Corrections and limitations
When checking a suspected error, compare the named item or ability with the linked versioned definition and note the client build. A mechanics correction needs a source review and validation of affected hero paths; changing a publication date alone is not a review. Historical snapshots keep their original evidence.
Fresh match statistics are not integrated. We do not publish invented win rates, match samples, tier rankings or a universal best build. Read the full methodology for the validation rules.
