Patch date: . Guide reviewed 2026-11-03. Historical changes can be superseded; use current definitions for a match today.
How this guide was prepared: AI-assisted analysis with a separate source-check pass against archived official notes. Practical decisions are reasoned suggestions, not player-tested results or measured win-rate evidence. A small hotfix receives a short guide rather than a reconstructed full build.

Recheck shop assumptions and Quickbuy
What changed: All item slots are universal, the total falls from 16 to 12, and owning a component discounts its item. Tier bonuses now depend on total spend in a tree and are nonlinear; fully maxing one tree is not optimal bonus-wise. Quickbuy has a larger reorderable, clearable queue and can queue an entire build. Configured builds can suggest imbues and assign sell priorities that trigger automatic sales when slots are full. Optional build categories are not added to Quickbuy.
How to adapt: Review old builds for their slot assumptions and component costs, then compare spending patterns against the displayed tree bonuses; the notes do not identify an optimal split. Before relying on automated purchases, check the build’s imbue suggestions, sell priorities and optional categories.
Use build authoring features deliberately
What changed: The Build Browser is now fullscreen. Builds can have up to three tags, which need not be unique; published builds without tags do not appear in public results. Hovering over a player post-game can create a local unpublished build based on that match’s purchases, including imbue targets and the order items were sold. Authors can set suggested imbues and sell priorities. The default Quickbuy hotkey changes from Shift+B to G.
How to adapt: Add tags to a published build if you want it to appear in public results, and mark a category optional when it should stay out of Quickbuy. Treat a post-game build as a record of one match rather than a recommendation; inspect it before publishing or queuing it. Check the new hotkey if you used Shift+B.
Practice movement changes and note orb behavior
What changed: Air acceleration for wall jumps increases only at lower speeds, and launch kick changes depending on whether movement is directed toward, away from, or neutral to the wall. Wall-jump fatigue affects vertical launch only and recovers in 1.25 seconds rather than 2 seconds; corner boosting is somewhat less effective. Holding crouch while exiting a mantle creates a small speed boost. Claimed soul orbs restore ammo, and orbs no longer auto-claim when colliding with the world.
How to adapt: Practice wall jumps, lateral leaps and mantle exits in a controlled setting before relying on familiar timing, especially if you use corner boosts. Account for the ammo return when claiming an orb, and distinguish a world collision from a successful claim.
Reassess economy, objectives and zipline timing
What changed: Players start with 400 souls. Powerups spawn at 5 rather than 10 minutes, breakables at 2 rather than 3, and teleporters are available from the start. The third flex slot unlocks after two Walker kills; the last requires base Guardians, not both base Guardians and a Shrine. The losing team can gain up to 25% more souls from troopers, neutrals, vaults and objectives, depending on how far behind it is; the bonus peaks at a 20% net-worth delta, with the first 3,000 ignored. Hero-kill comeback values fall by 15%. Zipline boost speed falls from 130% to 80% and its cooldown rises from 280 to 360 seconds.
How to adapt: Recheck early routes and objective timing around earlier powerups, breakables and teleporters, and confirm the new flex-slot conditions in a match. When ahead, account for conditional losing-team income and the slower, less frequent zipline boost; these changes do not guarantee a comeback or prescribe an objective order.
Account for Walker and trooper changes
What changed: The trooper bounty split changes from 100/60/35/25/20/16% to 100/60/30/20/15/11. Side Walkers’ HP relative to Mid Walkers falls from 22% lower to 40% lower. Walker resistance based on nearby enemies changes by enemy count, while bullet and spirit resistance for being near a Walker falls from 25% to 15% and its radius shrinks from 35.5m to 32m. Walker stomp height falls from 9m to 6m.
How to adapt: Recheck how grouped trooper income and Walker defenses affect your usual lane and objective expectations. Do not assume Walker resistance is a flat buff or nerf in every situation, because its values vary with nearby enemy count.
Retest selected hero and item changes
What changed: All hero stats are rebalanced alongside the shop rework. Ivy’s Air Drop ally cast range increases from 8m to 12m, while its slow duration, radius, Combat Barrier and several upgrade values decrease. McGinnis’s Heavy Barrage allows full movement while channeling, but its damage per rocket, cooldown and spirit scaling fall; it also slows dash usage by 35%. Mo & Krill’s Sand Blast no longer deals damage. Pocket’s Affliction duration falls from 18 to 14 seconds, DPS rises from 10 to 30, initial damage falls from 18% to 10%, and its T3 loses current-health damage. Improved Burst, Mystic Burst and Quicksilver Reload now use charge-up mechanics. Shadow Weave’s +20% weapon power bug is fixed; Return Fire now accounts for attacker movement.
How to adapt: Test these abilities and item timings before carrying over old damage or upgrade expectations. For charge-up items, check the HUD timing rather than assuming the previous proc behavior; the notes do not establish a universally better build or matchup.
